An excellent example of commercial animation.

I'm not sure why everyone seems to be so upset over the fact that this is advertising a book. It is still animation, and a perfect example of commercial animation which I might add is completely valid. As animators we must all remember that not all of us can get jobs creating TV shows and movies. Just like a traditional artists, some people need to design and illustrate and not everyone can make fine art for galleries, it doesn't mean thats not valid art.

More directed to the movie, I think you did a decent job. The illustration style was done very well, if anything I would work a little on the movement and as far as commercial animation is concerned I think the typography was a little too simple. Other then that, very good job and ignore the pretentious reviewers that are apposed to this. Animators deserve money too ^.^

Nice one

First, i'd like to say, Good work. It's nice to see something different for once and I'm glad this made front page. I like the extra bit at the credits ^.^ I think it could use a bit more motion, but I understand it is hard to create motion with a detailed painted picture or a scratchy shading technique without making the animation too jumpy. As for the sound I think the only way to make it better is possibly getting a foam filter for your microphone or perhapse a better recording program and mic all together.

I hated the GFX, the whole thing didn't make sense, AND the sound WAS choppy! 4 Words, (Remember, this is just my opinion! Other people might like it!)"I hated this movie."

Wow did you even watch the movie? Perhapse your sound card is fuddled. Maybe you forgot what site your on? It made perfect sense to anyone 8 and older and the sound wasn't choppy on my end at all. Perhapse you should release something next time before just posting a hate messege on someones work just because it made front page. Also, next time if you really hate it, try to explain in depth why rather then just stating "I dont make sense I hate it the graphics suck!"

Brilliant Cinematics

Great work with the cinematics, you could easily use this as a base model for a completed animation ready for production or even live action script. I thought the stick figures were a bit oldschool for flash but you've done well with moving them realistically which would make going over them with full models extremely easy. Keep the episodes coming.

Masterwork

I have been studying your style for some time and trying to come up with my own styles of animation. I definately have to say your work is consistantly master work. Anyhow I'm a senior multimedia/finearts major at Nortwest College of Fine art in WA USA, and I definatly see your work as a major inspiration. Keep wowing us. When I get good enough I'll be sure and give you a detalied critique.

Neat

I like it, but even tho the heads and shading are done different, it still looks alot like the madness characters wich really gets to me. However the background is much nicer

Lothenon responds:

I won't deny they kind of look like the madness characters. However that's not intentional - It's just that these torso-sphere-hand-characters are the easiest to animate. ;)
